IMO Reese Witherspoon is quite possibly the most irritating 'mainstream' actress to have ever appeared on the silver screen...so it's fair to say that this movie really had it's work cut out in terms of making a positive impression on my good self. But it should also be said that as I do have a soft spot for Vince Vaughn it wasn't necessarily a foregone conclusion that I was going to end up hating this flick.
However, I don't think that I managed to laugh out loud even once during the duration of this movie (not a good sign as this is meant to be a comedy) but I will at least concede that it did make me smile on more than one occasion. All in all this could have been so much worse than it actually was and taking into consideration it's seasonal flavouring I've decided to be generous with my rating for this particular flick.
