I was expecting this to be horrible, in fact I was actually expecting this to be really horrible...and maybe that's why I ended up walking away from this movie with a decent sized smile on my face.
Yes Sandra Bullock's character in this flick is ultra annoying...but she's also rather endearing as well and creating a performance that finds an agreeable balance between the two is no mean feat by itself. On top of that, this movie made me laugh, out loud, on quite a few occasions which is something that the majority of romantic comedies released in recent years (that I've seen) haven't really managed to achieve.
That said, will I be going out of my way to catch this flick again? Probably not...but I certainly won't being making any effort to avoid it either.
