The Men Who Stare At Goats

Inspired by Jon Ronson's research into the US military's attempts to awaken dormant psychic abilities within their soldiers, this turned out to be an enjoyable war flavoured black comedy containing three rather special performances from Messrs. Bridges, Clooney & Spacey.

It is worth pointing out that although the viewer is never really given any concrete evidence that these powers were successfully attained (despite the final scene, the jury is still out as far as I'm concerned), it should also be noted that this doesn't in any way make watching this flick a frustrating experience, in fact, it just makes this movie more entertaining.

Definitely a flick that's worth catching if you appreciate comedies that reside towards the quirkier end of the movie spectrum.

This blog represents an ongoing list of flicks watched by my good self. Every movie viewed will be awarded one of seven ratings ('Unmissable', 'Superb', 'Very Decent', 'Decent', 'Decent Enough', 'Watchable' & finally 'Worthless') and any flick that falls under one of the first three ratings categories will also be awarded 'Razorsharp' status (which means it's pretty much a 'must see' movie in my not so humble opinion).
