The Bourne Identity (Razorsharp)

Although I'd enjoyed Matt Damon's performances in flicks like 'Good Will Hunting', 'Rounders' & 'The Talented Mr Ripley' he wasn't the sort of actor that I thought would be ideally suited for the action genre...so it's fair to say that it came as a bit of a shock to see him produce what is IMO an amazingly confident & quite convincing performance in the role of Jason Bourne.

What makes this movie truly stand out from the crowd is that everything in it is close enough to reality that for once a healthy suspension of disbelief really isn't required. In addition to this, by having an actor of this quality in the central role means that the viewer's emotional connection with the character is elevated to a significantly higher level.

Overall this flick represents one of the best action flavoured thrillers to have been released in the last ten or so years and is quite simply the very definition of a 'must see' movie.

Razorback Rating = Unmissable

The why...

This blog represents an ongoing list of flicks watched by my good self. Every movie viewed will be awarded one of seven ratings ('Unmissable', 'Superb', 'Very Decent', 'Decent', 'Decent Enough', 'Watchable' & finally 'Worthless') and any flick that falls under one of the first three ratings categories will also be awarded 'Razorsharp' status (which means it's pretty much a 'must see' movie in my not so humble opinion).
